August 20 marks the birthday of Dr. Rajendra Kumar Pachauri (August 20, 1940 – February 13, 2020), our beloved leader in sustainable development, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and energy and environmental economist. I am fortunate to be a comrade-in-arms of this great soul on the path of sustainable development. Wherever his spirit rests, I feel his benevolent light. Guided by this light, I shall strive to promote the sustainable development of humanity.

Looking up at the sky, the universe is filled with countless stars, and the blue planet upon which our 8 billion people depend for survival must be protected. Dr. R.K. Pachauri, I am the successor to your “Open Green City Laboratory,” and I will dedicate myself wholeheartedly to following your light and supporting your son, Dr. Ash Pachauri, in advancing the “Protect Our Planet Movement.” On your birthday, Dr. Ma Zhiyao, an outstanding young Chinese scholar, representing the International Mayors Communication Centre, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with your son, representing the “Protect Our Planet Movement.” This achievement is the best birthday gift for you!

Dr. R.K. Pachauri, to encourage people worldwide to forever remember your outstanding contributions to mitigating climate change and protecting humanity’s home, we have developed “Pachauri Tea,” named after you. This includes teacups made from biodegradable materials and an organic tea series, which is a set of green, everlasting, and healthy beverages, with every cup of the tea embodying your profound love for the civilizations of our blue planet. I want to dedicate hundreds of millions of cups of “Pachauri Tea” to the people of the world, and this is my tribute to you and our eternal blessing for our blue planet!
