Increase Infrastructure Investment Globally

Infrastructure is a prerequisite for economic development and is essential for sustainable and inclusive growth. Infrastructure facilitates people's participation in labor, production and services, facilitate the entry and effective distribution of products in the market, and promotes technological progress. Therefore, the scale and quality of infrastructure investment are of decisive significance to the improvement of human well-being.

About the World

UK Pushing Green Infrastructure Construction

UK has officially established the goal of "net zero emission" of greenhouse gases by 2050, put clean development at the core of modern industrial strategy, and is pushing to become a pioneer in coping with climate change from the birthplace of the industrial revolution. The sales of electric vehicles in the UK have increased significantly year by year. The government stipulates that new houses and other buildings must be equipped with charging piles. In the next four years, the UK will invest nearly £ 500 million in R & D and mass production of electric vehicle batteries, and set up £ 5 billion to support greener travel modes such as cycling, walking and public transport.

According to the British green industrial revolution plan, the government will spend more than 12 billion pounds to support and create 250,000 high skilled green jobs across the country and attract more than three times the investment of the private sector by 2030. The plan is set up around the UK's advantageous industries, including the continued development of offshore wind power, the construction of the first town completely powered by hydrogen energy within a decade, the development of large-scale nuclear power plants and the next generation of small advanced nuclear reactors, making homes, schools and hospitals greener, cleaner, warm and energy-saving, and leading the development of global carbon capture, use and storage technologies.
